Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to follow Lyrac. This site aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we've done
- Every form field has a visible label, and errors are described in text next to the field they relate to.
- The whole site works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a “skip” link to jump straight to the content.
- Text colours meet WCAG AA contrast ratios against their backgrounds.
- Pages use semantic headings, landmarks and a declared language so screen readers can navigate them.
- Animations are decorative. If your device is set to reduce motion, they are switched off and the star field is shown as a still image.
- Layouts reflow down to 320px wide and text can be enlarged to 200% without loss of content.
- Every form on the site also works with JavaScript turned off.
- The home page's scroll-through story is also available to screen readers as plain text, and it becomes an ordinary page, with everything shown at once, when your device is set to reduce motion.
Known limitations
The decorative star field and constellation are hidden from assistive technology because they convey no information. Some text boundaries, such as form field borders, are intentionally subtle; each field is also identified by its visible label.
